MMPL Meeting

August 7, 2011

The meeting was called to order at 7:05pm and attendance was taken.

Jennifer read the minutes from the last meeting and they were accepted without objection.

Treasurer’s report

Everyone is paid in full. 

Fines for Cy Abs Tournament: Buddy’s A and Buddy’s B were both missing 1 player ($10 each).  Dave Doolittle’s were short 3 players ($30). 

Fines for tonight’s meeting are Dooly’s B $20.00 (Not attending meeting and late dues payment) and Buddy’s B $10.00 (Not attending meeting).

Old Business

Jennifer read both quotes from Dooly’s Burnside and Brewster’s.  Both quotes included a main course, salad, dessert, and coffee and tea.  Dooly’s Burnside is 25.13 per plate and Brewster’s is 18.52. 

Brewster’s – 6 votes

Dooly’s Burnside – none

Banquet will be held at Brewster’s by unanimous vote.

Date for the banquet will be October 1, 2011.  Gord will confirm with Brewster’s that that date is open at Brewsters.  It was decided that the league would provide the dinner but not a DJ as most people don’t stay after the awards. 

New Business

Crystal Johnson is having surgery on her wrist and will miss the last 3 weeks of play.  The league has granted an exception for the last 3 of 4 weeks qualifications.  Crystal has played 11 weeks so far this year.

At the next meeting please bring in any trophies and bring the names of your team nominations for most improved and most sportsmanlike.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:30.

The next meeting will be at Brewsters on August 28, 2011 at 7PM.
